ROCK OPERA: AN ARTISTE'S LIFE , is a musical performance that provides a refreshing approach for rock music lovers to enjoy and appreciate the genre in a more meaningful and artistic form.The unique fusion of opera in a rock concert serves to encourage better appreciation of rock music. Rock Opera provides the platform for the audience to understand and feel the struggle artistes face in their illustrious career.

For the first time in Singapore, Malay rock music fans will be able to enjoy their favourite songs in an unplugged version backed by an orchestra made up of a fourteen piece string section, a pianist, a percussionists playing a range of modern and traditional percussion, a five piece acoustic session guitarists and a vocal ensemble will all be part of a milestone in Malay Rock music.

The concert will be further enhanced by the appearance of lead performers from the main Singapore Malay rock group. ROCK OPERA will bring the audience to a nostalgic trip with their favourite local rock bands like The Unwanted and Lovehunters. ROCK OPERA will also feature local rocker, Zoul, who also composed the theme song for Rock Opera.

Unlike a normal rock and roll concert which usually raises their curtains with an opening act followed by the featured band, ROCK OPERA will be treated with the class of a theatre-musical performance. This will be a non-stop exhilarating musical experience that will spell-bound the audience in awe and pride from the beginning of the show until the curtain call. ROCK OPERA is a musical endeavour in its own class.

All performers will have a role to play in creating the Opera feel and mood. The musicians and vocal ensemble will become the bridge that will create the mood in the concert hall and at the same time transfer the energy on stage to the audience.
